INVISALIGN

The Details:

Invisalign is a custom made series of plastic trays, or aligners, designed specifically for your orthodontic needs that you wear over your teeth.
You place the aligners in yourself, and each aligner has a specific amount of tooth movement built in.
Invisalign can be used for treatments involving simple tooth rotations or complex jaw surgery.
Fun fact: In our office, Invisalign is almost always the same cost as braces! That’s one less factor in determining if Invisalign is a good fit for you.

Adult

Think you’re “too old” for braces? Worried about having all those brackets and wires in your mouth? We believe that age is just a number and there’s no better time to have a beautiful smile than now! Invisalign is a great treatment option for adults as it’s virtually invisible, so not many people will notice you’re even doing treatment! Have an event to attend? Just pop out the aligners for a clear smile!

Adolescent

Is your child less-than-thrilled to have braces? Consider letting your child use Invisalign for their treatment! A third of our Invisalign patients are actually adolescents, and they’re doing GREAT! Worried they won’t be able to keep up with the aligners? Our adolescent patients are doing just as well with the aligners as our adult patients, if not better in some cases! Is your child dreading giving up his or her favorite foods? With Invisalign, you can eat whatever you want because you take the aligners out to eat. This also makes brushing a breeze because you brush and floss like normal as there are no brackets to clean around!

BRACES

Titanium

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

A child’s occlusion (bite) establishes when the 1st molars (6yr molars) and the front adult teeth erupt which typically occurs around 7–9 years of age. At this time, the doctor can evaluate how the upper and lower teeth fit together along with the development of the remaining permanent teeth to ensure all teeth are in a healthy position. For some, treatment will be indicated, but for most this will be a beneficial way to have peace of mind about the growth and development of your child’s future smile! If no treatment is indicated, we will continually observe your child’s growth and dental development at periodic appointments every 6 to 18 months depending on your child’s individual needs to be able to determine the ideal time to begin treatment, if any is required. During this time, your child will be a member of our Strickland Orthodontics Smiles Club (S.O.S. Club) and they become active participants in their growth and dental development! This is a very exciting time for your child with many changes occurring and we want you and your child to be informed and aware of the changes that are occurring during these years.
